Can eSpline translate my old legacy configurator?

E-mail

Data Arrow - 360x240Yes, we have developed a variety of translation applications that can extract, transform and load (ETL) your legacy rule patterns in your legacy configurator to SAP VC.

We can leverage several applications that we can reuse, so this is not a total customization project.  The review and analysis of the legacy configurator will require some attention.

We have worked with several SAP customers to investigate their legacy application rule patterns, extract those rules, analyze them, transform the rule patterns and then translate those patterns to SAP VC.

Thinking about a Proof of Concept (PoC)?   After the initial analysis of the rule patterns, we can typically accomplish rule translation for 5 or 6 rule patterns in a few week agile project.

I hear eSpline has a translator to Oracle CPQ?

Oracle CPQ logo - midYes, we do have a translator for SAP VC models to Oracle CPQ | BigMachines

eSpline has had the ability to extract a Variant Configurator product model for many years and it has been tested with VCandBig - Side-bySide 200x113 1,000s of  SAP models.  We have translated 3rd party configurator applications to the SAP VC and now have the ability to translate SAP Variant Configurator rules, tables and BOM's and import all objects to Oracle CPQ | BigMachines.

The VC rules patterns are analyzed and rule logic is translated and loaded so that Oracle CPQ rule behavior is  virtually the same in either application, so that the investment in the Variant Configurator can be leveraged and continued to be used.  more information button

We have made available an AutoImport solution, now a part of the application that eliminates virtually all of the manual tasks that are required to import to Oracle CPQ | BigMachines (APIs did not exist) making it much easier to get your VC models or model changes to Oracle CPQ | BigMachines.

What is the difference between Avenue i2i and ALE

E-mail Print

Easily and quickly move VC Models

Computer transition - html - 300x200Avenue i2i uses ALE and other SAP standard methods except that Avenue i2i is much faster and much less hastle.  Using ALE you are required to individually sequence the moves and each is manual.

Using Avenue i2i the move is automated.  You select the knowledge base or model from a source client,  the plant and how the BOM is used.  Then select the target client and push a button to upload.

The VC model is moved in its entirety and then validates that the source and target client are the same.  There are three version now available for customer use; Basic, Pro and Enterprise.  more information button

Does eSpline Offer any VC Testing Software?

Yes, we resell, train and implement the ConfigScan VC Testing solution.

ConfigScan_MonitorConfigScan was developed by Fysbee, a Grenoble, France based consulting and software development company tailored originally to Schneider Electric requirements.  The application is written in ABAP and attaches directly to your SAP instance were you test, typically on your QA instance.  ConfigScan records specific test cases that can be hand entered or loaded from spread sheets. Enter individual test cases for changes and use them over again.  No need to re-enter them for the next test.

The key to the applicaiton is that a VC or IPC model can be regression tested to make sure that any recent changes did not make errors in other places of the product model. More Information...
